Social Worker at the Adult Unit in Mölndal City

The Social and Labor Market Administration handles parts of the social services. We work in a traditional division of the operational areas IFO (individual and family care) and AFE (labor market and support) while challenging ourselves to work comprehensively with processes where the adult unit is part of the process management group for housing and dependency. The administration also includes an administrative staff.

The Adult Unit now has a vacant position as a social worker in the reception function. You will be one of three people (full-time positions) working there. The unit consists of a total of 30 employees. Four people work with the target group of young adults. Eight social workers work with the target group aged 25 and older with harmful use and dependence on alcohol, drugs, and gambling. Nine people work with treatment, housing, and employment interventions. We have close leadership consisting of a total of five people, of which two are senior social workers, one method supervisor, and two unit managers.

All staff in the unit are offered external process supervision and a generous wellness allowance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the reception function, you primarily work with urgent on-call visits, urgent protection assessments, and new visits based on applications and reports. You ensure that the individual applies to the correct administration and in the correct municipality. You will receive close supervision from a senior social worker in your daily work. As a social worker in the unit's reception function, you are expected to have a high capacity to assess what is urgent and what is not, as well as to manage the work that fluctuates between high and low workloads.

The target group consists of individuals with harmful use and dependence but also other psychosocial issues among adults. The work is based on the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Care of Abusers in Certain Cases (LVM), and the Act with Special Provisions on the Care of Young People (LVU). The adult unit does not handle cases based on structural homelessness.

As a social worker with us, you collaborate a lot both internally and externally. Partners include, among others, healthcare, correctional services, the care and welfare administration, and internal collaboration within our own administration.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply should have a degree in social work or another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Training in social law (SoL, LVU, and LVM) is a requirement.

You should have previous work experience in authority exercise within social services. It is an advantage if you have worked with individuals with harmful use and dependence and comorbidity. We would like you to have good knowledge of social services processes and have knowledge of reception-specific knowledge, such as understanding the common mission of social services, being able to conduct affiliation investigations, and managing and prioritizing in urgent processes.

We would like you to have training in Freda and MI.

The ability to express oneself in speech and writing is of great importance as a large part of the work consists of documentation and investigation work. Knowledge of Treserva is an advantage.

A driver's license is a requirement.
